Understanding the 75 Percent Pullback from Lows Alert
The icon for this alert describes the chart of the corresponding stocks. This tracks a stock as it moves to new lows, and then reports when the stock moves 75% of the way back. This alert will automatically choose between the stock's open and its previous close. It will pick whichever of the two will cause the pattern to be bigger. This arrangement is particularly popular with Fibonacci traders.
By default, this alert will appear when the stock returns 75% of the way from today's low back to today's open or previous day's low.
For '75% Pullback from Lows' alerts, you have the option to use an alert specific filter. This filter is located immediately to the right of the corresponding alert and is always optional. You can decide to leave it blank if you want to receive more alerts, or you can fill it in to restrict the number of alerts you receive.
This filter allows you to specify the quality of the alert. When you set a higher number for this filter, you are telling the alerts server to display only alerts that meet a higher quality standard, resulting in fewer alerts being shown.
This alert is based on a move in one direction, followed by a move in the other direction. This filter is based on the size of the first move. The first move must be at least 75% or we will not report the alert. The first point in the first move will be at today's open or yesterday's close. The second point in the first move is today's low.
