Understanding the Crossed Daily Lows Support Alert
The crossed daily lows support alert reports whenever a stock crosses a previous day's low for the first time since the end of that previous day. This compares the current price to the daily lows for the past year.
These alerts are a variation on the idea of a 5 day high or a 52 week low.
The messages and the filters for this alert are the same as for the new low price alerts. In fact, this alert is a subset of the standard daily low alerts. This alert only reports when the number of days in the new low changes.
By default, the crossed daily lows support alert reports whenever a stock crosses below any previous day's low for the first time since the end of that previous day.
For 'Crossed Daily Lows Support' alerts, you have the option to use an alert specific filter. This filter is located immediately to the right of the corresponding alert and is always optional. You can decide to leave it blank if you want to receive more alerts, or you can fill it in to restrict the number of alerts you receive.
This filter allows you to specify the quality of the alert. When you set a higher number for this filter, you are telling the alerts server to display only alerts that meet a higher quality standard, resulting in fewer alerts being shown.
When setting an alert for 'Crossed Daily Lows Support,' you can specify a minimum number of days. Here's what different values mean:
